Public areas: see the show from the bivouacs
At some 2010 Dakar specials, special viewing areas have been set aside to provide the best possible conditions for spectators in terms of comfort, visibility of the race and most importantly safety. The location of these areas will be communicated two days before the race passes by, via the website and the local press.
To assist with the travel arrangements of motor sports enthusiasts wishing to visit the stage towns, the rally will provide in advance details of the location of the bivouacs where the Dakar organisation will be based each day and where competitors will arrive at the end of their day’s racing. Spectators will therefore be able to watch all the vehicles as they arrive. Several stores will also be selling official 2010 Dakar merchandise.
